Michael was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. He is a proud alumn of Fulton High School. After his high school years, Michael went on to receive his bachelor’s at Tennessee State University, where he became the Manager and Intern for TSU’s Men’s Basketball Program. During his time at TSU, Michael was voted Sports Rep at Large for Athletics. After graduating TSU, he continued his path in athletics by becoming the Walter’s State Women’s Assistant Basketball Coach. Michael is continuing his education at Johnson University and working to receive his master’s degree.

Before joining staff, Michael served as an AmeriCorps with Emerald. Now, the Lord has led Michael to use his background and passion for athletics to serve as Emerald’s Sports and Recreational Ministry Coordinator in Lonsdale.

Michael is apart of Anointed and Assigned, a Young Adult Ministry. He holds onto Galatians 5:22 and Matthew 6:23. During his free time, he loves coaching basketball, mentoring young people, and hanging out with friends and family! He is full of joy and excited to engage with the community!
