Emerald Charter Schools

Emerald Charter Schools was launched by Emerald Youth Foundation as a separate, not-for-profit, non-sectarian organization that manages Knox County's first public charter school, Emerald Academy.

Emerald Academy was approved by the Knox County Board of Education in June 2014 and opened in July 2015. Its mission is to grow scholars into leaders by creating the best learning culture for city students to develop the skills, habits, and values for success in high school, college and life.
