Keri Westbrook graduated from Johnson University just up the road from Emerald Youth Foundation and fell in love with the mountains and the people of Knoxville. She came away from Johnson with a bachelor’s of music in worship leadership and bible and theology. Before Emerald, Keri interned at Providence Church as a music intern working with the student ministry along with being program staff at a christian summer camp for three years.
When her friend was sharing about Emerald’s mission and vision, Keri immediately wanted to be a part of it. Keri wants to see God’s kingdom grow among the urban youth of Knoxville and is excited to be on mission with Emerald. Her favorite bible verse is 1 Peter 1:3-9 and she currently volunteers with Providence Church’s worship team. This scripture reminds her of the joyful hope she has in her salvation through Christ, how there is purpose through the trials and testing of her faith.
Keri enjoys ham mocking and participating in polar plunges! She also considers herself a coffee connoisseur. Although she is in Knoxville, she cheers on the Ohio State Buckeyes and watches football games every chance she gets!
